FX3GC

The FX3GC offers the same functionality as its 32 I/O sibling but in one quarter of the size.  FX3GC is ideal for applications where space is minimal and power requirements are low, but without compromising the usability of the PLC system.

In response to customer demand for a high performance, ultra compact PLC for very small control panels, Mitsubishi has replaced the normal screw type terminal strip with plug-in connectors.  The FX3GC weighs 200 grams and has dimensions of 90 x 34 x 87 mm (HxWxD). The FXGC has 32 I/O (16 in/16 out).  This can be increased to 128 I/O of directly connected to the PLC with the option of a further 128 networked I/O points.

 The PLC has a 32 K-step EEPROM memory, and various instructions, such as floating-point and character string processing instructions and scaling instructions, are provided. The PLC has a clock function to control event timing, and input/output high-speed processing functions of main unit the time. Other functions include high-speed counter, input interruption, pulse catch, pulse width/pulse period measurement function.

 The PLC has a built-in USB port for the programming communication function to enable high-speed communication at 12 Mbps.The PLC can be started and stopped with the built-in switch. RUN and STOP commands can be given to the PLC through a general-purpose input terminal or peripheral device. The programming software for personal computer enables you to modify the program while the PLC is running.

The FX3GC is fully compatible with existing FX2N/3U modules and uses the same cables and terminal blocks as the larger FX3UC.
